Huawei Mate 8, the new flagship phablet smartphone from the Chinese telecom company, is on sale in China from December 9.

Huawei Mate 8 goes on sale in China from December 9, and starts at CNY 2,999 (Rs 31,138) for the 32GB Silver edition, while the 64GB gold edition is priced at CNY 3,699 (Rs 38,406). The 128 GB version in

champagne gold costs CNY 4,399 (Rs 45,674). The Monarch edition with champagne gold color is priced at CNY 6,888 (Rs 71,518).

The phablet is a metal-clad dual-SIM (Nano-SIM cards) supporting device that runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow skinned with the company’s Emotion UI. The second SIM slot also doubles as the microSD card slot. It features a 6-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) resolution IPS LCD display with a calculated pixel density of 367.2 ppi. Under the hood, the phablet houses an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 950 processor (four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz + four Cortex-A72 cores clocked at 2.4GHz), clubbed with Mali-T880MP4 GPU clocked at 900MHz.

Huawei has launched the phone with 4 versions in terms of RAM and storage: 3GB RAM in 32 version, 4GB RAM in 64 and 128GB versions. The rear camera is 16 megapixel with LED flash, while the front camera is 8 megapixels. It has a 4000 mAh battery with the 22 hours talk time, being promised by Huawei. The dimensions of the Huawei Mate 8 are 157.1mm × 80.6mm × 7.9mm and it weighs 185g.
